Buying expired domains for PR, does it still work?
IĦŻve done some experiments over the past few months about expiring domains with PR to see if it is worth your while to confine these expired and deleted domains.
My idea why I would like to use expired domains is the notion that out-of-date domains are favored than new domains, and to get instant PR.
So I set out to find deleted domains beside PR that I can register. One characteristic of domains I was looking for was that the domain still have a PR, and it was still listed in google.

This depends on how successful the domain be before it expired. The same can even backfire, in case the domain be blacklisted with some customers or websites. I is really no point going after a domain with PR. You need to start afresh. Also the problem beside the names that you mentioned is that they are TOO GENERIC. Names need to be unique, smooth. This is the era of BRANDING.
its a bit risky if one ask me
